PomodoroSounds does not collect, transmit, monetize, or store any personal data on external servers. All sound synthesis happens algorithmically on your device, and all task and timer preferences remain exclusively in your browser’s local storage.

PomodoroSounds was built from the ground up to respect human attention and digital sovereignty. Traditional web applications operate client-server telemetry pipelines that log keystrokes, session durations, and user activity. In contrast, PomodoroSounds operates under the Local-First Software Manifesto: your machine is the compute engine, your browser storage is the sole database, and zero analytical trackers exist.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
To provide complete transparency, here is a non-exhaustive list of technologies and tracking vectors that are deliberately absent from PomodoroSounds:
- No User Accounts or Passwords: You never create an account, log in, or provide an email address to use any feature of the platform.
- No Analytics or Behavioral Tracking: We do not embed Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, Facebook Pixels, Segment, or any other third-party tracking scripts.
- No Advertising Cookies or Identifiers: We do not serve advertisements, set advertising identifiers, or participate in cross-site retargeting.
- No Audio or Microphone Surveillance: We do not request microphone or camera permissions. Our audio engine generates outgoing sound waves and never listens to incoming audio.
- No Cloud Sync of Work: Your task names, daily goals, focus streaks, and notes are never transmitted over the internet to our servers.
3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
To make PomodoroSounds helpful and remember your customized settings between sessions, the application uses standard browser localStorage. This data resides solely on your computer, tablet, or smartphone:

4. Pure Web Audio Procedural Synthesis
Conventional ambient sound websites stream pre-recorded MP3 or AAC audio files from external Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), which leaves an IP address trail in CDN access logs.
PomodoroSounds does not stream audio files. All 16 channels (Brown Noise, Pink Noise, Poisson Raindrops, Ocean Surf, 40Hz Gamma & 10Hz Alpha Binaural Beats) are computed dynamically in real time inside your browser via the native Web Audio API. When audio plays, zero bytes of media are requested or transferred across the network.
5. Progressive Web App (PWA) & Offline Caching
PomodoroSounds installs a client-side Service Worker (sw.js). This script caches static assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript bundles, Geist typography, and SVG icons) strictly to allow the application to function when your device is completely disconnected from the internet. The Service Worker does not log requests or collect telemetry.
6. Complete Data Control: 1-Click Data Erasure
Because all state resides in your local browser storage, you maintain total ownership and control over your information at all times:
- In-App Reset: Open the Settings modal inside the app and click "Reset All Data" to instantly purge all stored tasks, stats, and audio presets.
- Browser Data Clearing: Clear your browser's site cookies and local storage for
pomodorosounds.comat any time. All stored records are permanently deleted immediately.
7. Third-Party Integrations & External Links

We receive no personal identifying information or credit card numbers from external donations.
